Church St.
In Vienna, VA, the Church St. project brings a refreshing touch to a Craftsman-style home, encompassing the basement, dining room, and living room. Designed for a dynamic family of five, this renovation blends sophistication with a dash of playful charm.
The dining and living rooms received a stylish refresh, maintaining beloved pieces like the family’s dining table.
Our challenge was to seamlessly integrate these elements, crafting a space that feels both elegant and approachable. The goal was to create a setting that’s perfect for family dinners and cozy evenings, sophisticated yet never too fussy.
Downstairs, the basement was transformed into a vibrant, multifunctional haven.
The clients wanted a space where the whole family could unwind, the teenagers could entertain friends, and their daughter could indulge in her art projects.
Tackling the bulkhead challenge, we cleverly designed a built-in that made this eyesore vanish, blending seamlessly into the decor. The incorporation of 50’s diner-inspired furniture adds a sense of joy and whimsy, enhancing the inviting and playful atmosphere of the basement.
Throughout the Church St. project, every design choice was made to evoke the right emotions in the right spaces. The basement is all about fun and relaxation, a lively contrast to the sophisticated and serene dining and living rooms. This thoughtful blend ensures that the home caters to every mood and moment, offering a sanctuary that’s as functional as it is beautiful.
